In 1998, Cornerstone and another equity fund acquired Shelter Systems Inc. Shelter is a New Jersey based manufacturer and distributor of pre-assembled building components used in residential, commercial and industrial construction. The Company’s principal products include roof trusses, floor trusses and wall panels which are sold to building contractors. Shelter was sold to a financial sponsor with Durand in 1999.
